This page has been created by LaurenInLiverpool as a checklist for creating new CGR episode wiki pages. Revisions are welcome.

New Episode Page

In advance of the show (if possible)

  1. Create the episode page in the format "Episode_000" for the page name. For best practice, copy a previous episode page via "Edit source" and paste it into the new page's source.
  2. Make amendments to standard items/clear previous episode template - either in the source code or switching to "Edit" mode depending on your level of comfort with wikitext. Feel free to save regularly throughout this process.
    1. Update all references to the Episode number, date, broadcast time etc.
    2. Clear (or update) the Pre-mix and Show info
    3. Clear out the Wedding Playlist tracks, the Track Listing, and the Content
    4. Update the Episode Notes using any call for show requests from Producer Giles on previous Patreon posts

During the show

  1. Update broadcast times (see Discord for helpful comments from people!), track listing, and #content
  2. When a song is a birthday caller, preface the song with a [[Birthday Boulevard]] link.
  3. When a song is a singalong with satire, preface the song with a [[Singalong with Satire]] link.
  4. When a song is a Wedding Playlist track, it needs listed in the track listing and the template
    1. To use the Wedding Playlist template from the "Edit" visual editor, double click in the template space and click 'Edit'. The fields should be available for the artist, track, note and Spotify link. See below for explanation of Spotify link templates.
    2. To use the Wedding Playlist template from the "Edit source" editor, enter the text after the = sign in the blank template.
  5. If there is an original song by Shaun, you can link the artist (Shaun Keaveny) to the page Shaun Keaveny#List of penned songs.

After the show

  1. Count the number of tracks played, and add this to the EpisodeInfoBox template -- either through source edit, "tracks=" or double click and Edit the template box in visual edit.
  2. Once the Patreon listening link has been posted, update the EpisodeInfoBox template with the episode length[Sid] in h, m, s format.

Previous Episode Page

  • Edit the source view and remove the {{CurrentEpisode}} template from the top of the page - this should be the very first bit of code.
  • If needed, it can be updated to the {{Content missing}} template if there is still information or broken links to be updated.

Linked pages

Shaun Keaveny#List of penned songs: To be updated if a new song written by Shaun is played

Singalong with Satire: To be updated if used in the episode

Templates used

Template are used across wiki pages to add images to links, build tables for easy population, provide information, and display navigation lists.
