The Monday Night Album Club on the 27th June 2022 is a listening party held on the Community Garden Radio Discord. It was the sixth edition of the Album Club, and the album chosen was folklore by Taylor Swift. The album was suggested by max[2] and voted by the community. The pre-mix was curated by tuftii.[2] The album was chosen as a part of the classic cut theme, with an added theme of 'an album that means something to them'.

Background

Two other albums were nominated alongside folklore, which were voted on by the community.

  • When The Night by St Lucia (nominated by Whiskey Will)[2]
  • Nilsson Schmilsson by Harry Nilsson (nominated by Jimmy G)[2]

folklore won the vote with eight votes, followed by St Lucia with two votes and Harry Nilsson with one. When describing what the album means to them, max wrote:

this album, it's not even my favourite album by [Taylor Swift] - but it came at such an important time in my life. it surprised dropped right when i was at the lowest point and it was like... it found me just when i needed it. every song is like holding a phone call with my best friend to me, and i'm forever grateful for it and [it's sister album] evermore.[3]
