The Monday Night Album Club on the 8th August 2022 is a listening party held on the Community Garden Radio Discord. It was the twelfth edition of the Album Club, and the album chosen was The Velvet Underground & Nico by American rock band The Velvet Underground and German singer Nico. The album for voted by the community. The pre-mix was curated by tuftii.[2] The album was chosen as a part of the classic cut theme.

Background

Three other albums were nominated alongside The Velvet Underground & Nico which were voted on by the community.

  • Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band by The Beatles
  • Are You Experienced by The Jimi Hendrix Experience
  • The Doors by The Doors

The Velvet Underground & Nico won the vote with tuftii casting the tie-breaker vote, along with Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club both receiving seven votes. The Doors received four votes, while Are You Experienced received three.
